Installment loans in Manitoba
Borrow $300 to $3,000 and repay it over three to four months, in payments that match your pay schedule. Bad credit can still be approved.

In short
You can still apply in Manitoba with a low credit score. Lenders in the 911cash network typically offer $300 to $3,000, repaid over 90 to 120 days at 22% to 32% APR. Manitoba casts a wide net on high-cost credit: a loan of $5,000 or less is covered if its interest rate tops 32%, or if any fee is added on top of interest. Lenders offering these loans need a licence from the Consumer Protection Office, and you get 48 hours to cancel. A Manitoba payday loan can charge up to $14 per $100, so $500 means $570 due in a single payment.
Getting an installment loan in Manitoba, step by step
- Apply once. The 911cash application takes about five minutes on a phone or computer, from anywhere in Manitoba.
- A lender reviews it. We pass your application to lenders in our network. One that can help contacts you and asks you to complete Instant Banking Verification, a read-only look at your recent transactions. There are no documents to upload.
- Read the contract. The lender shows you the rate, every fee and the total you'll repay before you agree to anything.
- Get the money. Funds are deposited once you sign, often the same day.
911cash is not a lender. The lender that approves you sets the rate, fees and payment dates.
Manitoba's rules on high-cost loans
Two types of loans fall under Manitoba's high-cost credit rules. One is any loan whose annual interest rate is over 32%. The other is a loan of $5,000 or less with a term of up to two years, not backed by your property, where the interest is 32% or lower but one or more fees are added, for example a fee owed to the lender or a third party.
Because membership fees are charged by some lenders in our network, the loan you're offered could be high-cost credit under Manitoba's rules. In that case, the Consumer Protection Office must license the lender, and you're protected in these ways:
- You must receive a disclosure document before signing, setting out the fees, the interest rate, the APR and the total cost.
- You have 48 hours to cancel, with Sundays and holidays excluded.
- Paying the loan off ahead of schedule can't cost you a fee.
- The lender isn't allowed to withhold any portion of the loan amount.
What Manitoba law says about payday loans
- The cost of a payday loan is capped at $14 per $100 borrowed. Payday loans cover amounts up to $1,500 and terms up to 62 days.
- No single payday loan may exceed 30% of your net pay.
- You have 48 hours to cancel, excluding Sundays and holidays.
- If you replace, extend or renew a loan, or take a new one within seven days of repaying another, the cost is capped at 5% of the amount borrowed.
- You can have only one payday loan at a time. Lenders can't take security or get you to sign a document allowing them to collect from your employer.
- Any location offering payday loans to Manitobans must be licensed, and that includes online lenders.

Who can apply
- 18 or older
- A full-time job or steady self-employed income
- Not in bankruptcy
- A Canadian citizen
- An online bank account you can verify
Lenders look mostly at your income and recent banking, so a low credit score alone doesn't rule you out. You can apply from Winnipeg, Brandon, Steinbach, Thompson, Portage la Prairie and Winkler, or anywhere else in Manitoba. Applying doesn't commit you; you only agree to a loan when you sign a lender's contract.
Checking a lender
Payday lenders and high-cost credit grantors are licensed by Manitoba's Consumer Protection Office. Reach it at 204-945-3800, 1-800-782-0067 or consumers@gov.mb.ca to confirm a lender's licence or learn about your rights. The office also accepts complaints, which you can submit here.
